Your Responsibilities as a Nunavut Host

Maintain high cleaning standards by thoroughly cleaning your property between guests, including linens, towels, bathrooms, kitchen, and high-touch surfaces. Remove trash and restock essentials such as toilet paper and soap.

Ensure guest safety by installing and maintaining smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, providing fire extinguishers and stocked first aid kits, securing doors and windows, and keeping emergency exits accessible.

Maintain your property and address repairs promptly, keeping appliances, plumbing, heating, and utilities in good working order. Prepare your property for Nunavut’s seasonal conditions.

Comply with all Nunavut territorial and municipal laws for short-term rentals, obtain necessary permits and licenses, collect and remit applicable taxes, and maintain suitable property and liability insurance.
